Watching a video of teachers modeling a lesson in an office, not a classroom, with adults, not students, and all I can remember is the sound of a toilet flushing in the video.

Last week's lesson on capitalization was a failure.  "Please capitalize the names of countries." "Israel? Is that a country? I don't know."

Two of my students recently began dating. The female of the pair chooses small and tight fashions, leaving her mate in a perpetual state of excitement. Today, after rubbing the boy's upper arm in a suggestive fashion, she laughingly pointed her manicured nail down at his groin, where his erection was made obvious by the loose fabric of his sweatpants. 

"Miss, I'm confused. "What are you confused about? "What is it with this old woman?" (points to her Chromebook screen, where a Google summary of the very short story we had just finished reading is displayed. "Well, no wonder you're confused. You're looking at Google instead of the story." "I'm not reading that!"
